“This case was a classic example of the management system reaching its natural ending, due to the change in standards (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 2008 to 2015 version), Corrective Actions (changes in processes) and being neglected. Our approach was to take the essential information from the old management system (operational processes, environmental aspects, and scope) and to start from the beginning with a new management system structure, including documentation. This then gave us a “Reboot” of the standards across the organisation, which in turn made employees’ views on their management system more approachable and led to a positive impact. All of this was made easy because SBFI were fully committed to this project, as they knew the benefits of having an active management system and the controls that it brings to organisations”.

Management Systems have an expiry date, they may reach a point where they are unmanageable and too comprehensive to manage so, a reset is needed.
