The FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme aims to support motor sport and mobility organisations, evaluating and elevating their environmental performance. By establishing a clear and consistent approach to environmental management within these sectors, stakeholders are provided with a three-level framework to accredit their activities. There are three levels of accreditation designed to help organisations measure and improve their performance.
Bronze (One-Star) Basic Practice:
Organisations must demonstrate basic environmental performance and a commitment to improve. This includes having some basic policies and measures in place to reduce environmental impact.
Silver (Two Star) Good Practice:
This level requires organisations to show good environmental performance. They should be aligned with internationally recognised environmental management roadmaps and standards. Compared to the bronze level, this involves more comprehensive and structured environmental practices.
Gold (Three Star) Best Practice:
Organisations need to demonstrate best practices in environmental management. This includes a strong commitment to continuous improvement through the implementation of a thorough and effective environmental management system. An on-site audit is required for this level to ensure the highest standards are met.
