Business Development Manager

The Role

AvISO is looking for a strong, enthusiastic, and consultative communicator who is looking to develop their career within a ‘client-facing’ commercial role.

With a steady stream of incoming enquiries, you will be responsible for responding in a timely fashion, developing the enquiry, and building relationships to generate new business while expanding the company's client base.

Initially working very closely with the MD to develop your knowledge of management systems, AvISO and their methodologies, you will develop the knowledge and understanding to lead on all new customer sales enquiries within the business.

Responsibilities

• Gain a detailed understanding of the enquiry, including the client's current knowledge and experience of management systems
• Cultivate and maintain a strong customer relationship, acting as the initial main point of contact
• Create and present proposals to potential clients 
• Track and record all enquiries to new business or closure
• Help develop sales processes to improve efficiencies and sales performance

About the role 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our small, innovative and energetic team. The apprentice will be training to become a Management Consultant learning to assist clients with designing, implementing, and maintaining ISO Management Systems. The applicant should be proactive and self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail.

• Working with a team of Management Consultants assisting our clients with implementing and improving management systems, including Quality, Environmental, Information Security and Health & Safety.
• Draft policies and procedures, ensuring they align with international standards and meet clients’ neds.
• Collect and organise records and data required by the relevant International Standards, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Provide general administrative support to the team including preparing audit reports, booking client meetings and diary management. 
• Participate in on-site visits to clients’ premises to gain practical experience.

About the programme

This apprenticeship is designed to help you learn about the business whilst furthering your technical knowledge throughout the four-year immersive programme. 

You will study for a BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security in partnership with MK: U (Cranfield University). Your learning will be delivered through a mixture of virtual and on-campus study. All on campus study is delivered from Milton Keynes in a block of two or three days.

About you: 

You will have (or be predicted to achieve) at least 96 UCAS points at A-Levels (three Cs). If you haven’t studied for a long time - don’t worry, we will also accept applications from candidates with at least 3 years of experience relevant to IT, digital, data or cyber roles. 

• A keen interest in ISO standards and a desire to learn.
• Excellent MS Office skills and the ability to learn new software applications. 
• Team player with effective verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with multiple clients and stakeholders.
• Full driving licence with access to your own car as the role does involve travel to client sites.

Senior ISO Management Consultant

AvISO is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic ISO Consultant to assist clients with designing, implementing, and maintaining ISO Management Systems, including Quality (ISO 9001), Health & Safety (ISO 45001), Environmental (ISO 14001) and Information Security (ISO 27001). Experience in one or more of these standards is essential.

Responsibilities

About You

• Must be Lead auditor in at least one of the following Standards: ISO 9001,  ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 or ISO 50001.
• Hands-on experience of implementation of ISO Standards, i.e. ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 or 27001
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent report writing skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Involved in the design, implementation, operations, and maintenance of a multisite IMS.
• Excellent planning and organization skills to meet deadlines with proven ability to deliver on time, on budget projects.
• A strong teamwork ethic
• Full driving licence with access to your own car as the role does involve travel to client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support:

Financial Administration:

• Pursue overdue payments: Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments and maintain healthy cash flow.
• Process payments in Xero: Accurately manage and process bills for payment using Xero, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and reconciled.
  

About You

• Proven experience as an Office Administrator, Administrative Assistant, or similar role.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and office management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
• With access to your own car, public transport is limited at the Flimwell Park office.
